Modern
technology has invented many appliances and machines which have made human life
luxuriant and easy. We consider this technology a boon to the society but
forget the laziness and inactiveness it has brought with it. Modern machines
are replacing manual labour. Everyone has started taking it for granted and
forgotten the importance of manual work to keep ourselves healthy and fit. We
have become over dependent on machines which is making us both mentally and
physically weak.

Think
of the days when there were no machines to carry out the different works. The
daily routine of a human was full of rigorous exercises and human effort which
helped him become active and energetic. But with the replacement of manual
labour by machines, the humans have started neglecting the talent and
creativity inside them. That talent can flourish only if we practice it
ourselves and not with some machine. The lifestyle of today has got no time for
exercises and carries laziness and inactivity. Earlier, there were no computers
to calculate, no robots for labour, no transport, no internet for
communication. But still all these activities were carried out with
human effort.

Internet
has brought up many problems with it like hacking, spamming, phishing, internet
crimes etc. It has become an open platform with no restrictions on the content
displayed on the various websites. E-mails have left behind postal letters and
communication has lost its personal touch. Satellite communication is like a
miracle with which one is able to communicate with anyone living around any
corner of the world. But earlier, humans had to make an effort and go manually
to meet his/her relatives and friends.
But
all these facilities have made us excessively dependent on technology which is
affecting our health. Is it right to let machines do all the work instead of
humans? Moreover, this has even lead to the problems of unemployment and
poverty. Utilization of human brain and body is necessary for growth and
development. The happiness achieved in striving for a particular aim cannot be
felt with technology. Science has advanced to a level which was never imagined
earlier by humans. But this advancement is not entirely a boon for the society.
We should not neglect the problems it has brought up with it.
